I am trying to catch up. Sorry for being a blogging slacker...Here Goes. St. Patrick's Day was fun. I got this idea from a friend of mine and it worked out great. I liked that there was no gifts involved. The kids were full of excitement and completely happy with the whole event. The night before "green day" we set a trap to catch the naughty Leprechaun. We put out some candy in the middle of the trap and sure enough he did come. He only took the golden candy egg. And he left the house a complete mess. The couch was tipped over and of the decorations were scattered. The kids woke up and found it a mess. It was awesome. Then later that day Jake had swimming lessons and when we came back home that silly Leprechaun came back to cause more havoc. He put all the chairs on the table and pushed the couches over. The kids could not believe it. I loved the tradition but the cleaning up was kind of a bummer. But the kids made a game out of it and it didn't take us to long.

Cute idea' Can't wait for my kids to get old enough to do things like that with them.
